how did it get to be april? of course you should check your horoscope. the other day my girlfriend tr said that the universe is conspiring to birth my novel. these days i definitely believe that is true. rob brezsny calls it PRONOIA. The opposite of paranoia, pronoia is defined as the sneaking suspicion that the whole world is conspiring to shower you with blessings.

i think we need more pronoia. case in point. my father and i have similar names so today i get an aarp magazine addressed to him. i usually send those directly to the trash, but there in the top right hand corner of the cover is the headline, “1968: the year that rocked our world”. the present time of my novel starts with the birth of twins who are born in 1968 just as dr. king is being assassinated.

this week i should transition back from outlining and plotting. i don’t think that it is any coincidence that this same week marks the 40 year anniversary of the king assassination.
